Our innovative strength is the result of a unique and extraordinary corporate culture. At LASER COMPONENTS, all employees are involved in the continuous development of our products and processes. The Facets of Light - As Varied as our Work
No two requests are the same. To better understand this claim we borrowed from the laws of physics: more precisely, we turned to Snell's law of refraction. This law describes the change in the direction of propagation of a plane wave when it passes into another medium - and illustrates in an ingenious way what our daily work is all about: the day-to-day business with standard products, the close cooperation with our customers, and - our specialty - custom product development. The same principle applies to design as it does to the multi-faceted cooperation we enjoy with our customers, that is: no two facets of light are alike.

About US
LASER COMPONENTS - A Family Company
LASER COMPONENTS was founded as a sales company by Günther Paul in 1982. At that time, neither the EU nor the euro existed. Importing components from abroad involved a great deal of effort for German companies. The company quickly established itself as a reliable partner for imported components. The world has changed since then: The internet has made the world smaller; start-ups have become major players; and, last but not least, we have also evolved.
The manufacture of optical and optoelectronic components was soon added to our repertoire of activities; however, we have remained true to our core business of sales to this day. We have also maintained our self-image as a family business. This enables us to act financially independently and to react flexibly to market developments.
LASER COMPONENTS has grown over the years. In 1986, we opened our first production facility in Germany. We soon added sales offices in France, Great Britain, Sweden, and the USA. Then at the beginning of the new millennium, we opened additional production facilities in Canada and the USA.
Our employees are our greatest asset at LASER COMPONENTS. As an example, we have already celebrated at least a dozen 30-year employee anniversaries. This is not only a sign of a unique corporate culture. Such long-term employment relationships secure for the company one of the most valuable resources in our industry: know-how!

The history of LASER COMPONENTS began with the first laser optics in 1986. Since then, we have gradually expanded the development and production of our own components.
Today, our locations in Germany, Canada, and the USA also manufacture numerous other components for optoelectronics and the laser industry. The products “made by LASER COMPONENTS” now account for more than half of our worldwide sales.

Business BEYOND BORDERS
In just over 40 years, this German company has grown into an international group of companies. Under the umbrella of Photona GmbH, the LASER COMPONENTS Group now comprises seven independent companies in Germany, Great Britain, France, Scandinavia, Canada, and the USA. Our products are available all over the world through carefully selected distributors.
