Filters for wider wavelength ranges
Broadband filters transmit a passband that usually covers more than 100 nm and at the same time, all other wavelengths are blocked. The steep slopes are preserved.
The average transmission in the passband is typically above 90%, while it is typically below 0.01% for the blocked wavelengths.
