Precision strippers for processing optical fibers in industry are now also 100% manufactured by LASER COMPONENTS. From injection molding to special processing of the blades, everything is done to the highest quality standards in our own production facility. Adaptation to customer-specific fibers and customer-specific markings is also possible.
Gentle and precise
Our fiber strippers remove the buffer/coating from the optical fiber precisely and extremely gently for the sensitive glass cladding, preparing it optimally for splicing and assembly tasks. The numbers on the tools indicate the maximum diameter of the cladding (glass coating) and of the buffer.
For example, 0.18/0.30 means:
- Diameter of the closed blades = max. diameter of the cladding: 180 µm
- Diameter of the front borehole = max. diameter of the buffer: 300 µm
The blue fiber strippers are used for thin glass fiber cores in data communication. The red stripping tools are suitable for fibers in industrial use with larger cores. Both come with a fixed diameter. The yellow fiber strippers can be variably adjusted to different diameters.
