90 µm Colorpol® Polarizers with Exceptionally High Contrast Ratio
Our partner CODIXX launched a new series of (SUT) super ultra-thin colorPol® polarizers to be used in small form-factor telecom applications that require high signal quality. At a thickness of mere 90 µm, they offer excellent transmission values and a contrast ratio of > 10,000:1 and grant clearer and more accurate signal transmission by blocking unwanted light to increase the polarization purity of the transmitted signal. Thanks to their super ultra-thin design, these new colorPol® polarizers support further miniaturization of integrated photonics, free-space isolators, and optical communication systems.
CODIXX’s proprietary nanotechnology not only provides these outstanding optical capabilities. It also causes the polarizers to be highly resistant to environmental factors such as humidity and temperature variations of up to 400°C.
LASER COMPONENTS is the exclusive distributor for CODIXX in North America. At this time, these 90 µm colorPol® polarizers are available for the standard telecom wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm, and CODIXX already announced that they are going to expand series of “SUT” polarizers to cover all wavelengths from UV to NIR. You have the freedom to select from a wide variety of custom shapes and sizes, ranging from 0.5 × 0.5 mm² up to 100 × 50 mm². On request, the polarizers can be provided with anti-reflective coatings and laminated to further enhance the performance of your polarizers.
