Approximately 25 international infrared experts gathered on November 6 and 7 for the IR Workshop at LASER COMPONENTS Germany in Olching. Led by Joe Kunsch and Michaela Böhme, the organizing team intentionally kept the participant count low to encourage a dynamic exchange of ideas and foster a focused, collaborative working environment. Each participant gave a brief presentation on a topic of their choice, covering current trends, technological challenges, or innovative solutions to longstanding issues. Beyond scientific discussion, the workshop focused on future practical applications—such as mobile FTIR spectroscopy for medical blood analysis.
