HOLOEYE Photonics AG provides products and services in the fields of spatial light modulators (SLM) for phase and amplitude modulation. The Berlin-based company has been founded in 1998 and counts well over 30 employees worldwide. Providing customized designs, HOLOEYE offers turn-key services to optimize integration of in-house designed technology into optical systems for research and industry.
Spatial Light Modulators
HOLOEYE offers a great variety of microdisplay based Spatial Light Modulators products for phase and/or amplitude modulation. Based on both translucent or reflective liquid crystal microdisplays, HOLOEYE’s SLMs have been utilized in numerous applications ranging over holographic projection and security systems via optical metrology, optical switching devices, biophotonics, laser pulse shaping, and even laser material processing.
HOLOEYE developed and characterized a number of phase modulator products for high resolution holographic applications for the visible, near-infrared and telecommunication waveband.
LCOS Microdisplay Components
The LCOS microdisplay division is providing manufacturers in the field of technical optics, specifically technical projection, imaging, and display technologies, with LCOS microdisplay-hardware and electronics design services as component solutions.
HOLOEYE is specialized in the development of custom drive electronics, flex cables and display packages and also offers custom LC designs and display customizations for specific applications which have demands beyond standard projection displays.

Products
The ERIS Phase SLM offers high-performance spatial light modulation, seamless integration and easy calibration across a broad wavelength range.
The GAEA-2 phase modulator models are based on reflective LCOS microdisplays with 4160 x 2462 pixel resolution and 3.74 µm pixel pitch
The LC 2012 is a basic spatial light modulator based on a translucent LCD microdisplays with 1024 x 768 pixel and 36 µm pixel pitch.
The LETO phase modulator models are based on reflective LCOS microdisplays with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 6.4 µm pixel pitch.
The LUNA SLM driver unit uses digital addressing to control phase levels via voltage, with a USB interface for wavelength calibration and gamma control.
The PLUTO-2 phase modulator models are based on reflective LCOS microdisplays with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 8.0 µm pixel pitch.
