Do you want to transmit white light across a fiber and transport powers above 500 mW? Then the laser-pumped white light source LS-WL1 is just right for you. With an extremely small luminous area of 350 µm, the beam can be easily coupled into multimode fibers with core diameters between 50 µm and 1 mm. At the fiber output, the luminance is higher than anything you are used to from broadband white LED light sources. Even fiber-coupled laser plasma light sources cannot compete in this spectral range.
The light source can be switched on and off quickly; therefore, in addition to continuous wave (cw) operation, it also supports numerous other modes of operation (e.g., stroboscope, pulse triggering, modulation, and individual control patterns) that you need for your application. The integrated microprocessor easily allows switching frequencies of up to 100 kHz.
The module has numerous connections that allow you to use it with many different fiber applications. In addition, there is a USB interface for connection to external control devices. For example, the module can be controlled from a tablet using the LABVIEW interface.
