With their light, compact design, ultra low-profile retroreflectors (ULPRs) are used where other retroreflectors do not have any room. The manufacturer PLX has succeeded in reducing the weight by another 36% compared to standard reflectors. Thanks to their round design, they are ideal for installation in drill holes, optical mounts, and mirror mounts. With their elegant design, retroreflectors are still extremely resistant to temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and shocks.
ULPRs are available in standard sizes from 12.7 mm to 125 mm. For the most important applications such as distance measurement, FTIR interferometry, and spectroscopy, a wide range of metal coatings is available for wavelengths from UV (225 nm) to IR (20 µm). Upon request, customers can also have their own specifications implemented.
