Voltage Amplifier

Variable (gain 10 to 60dB), logarithmic (up to 80dB) and wideband (DC to 10, 200 or 500MHz) voltage amplifiers are available for a range of applications including universal low frequency amplification, industrial sensors, detector pre-amplification, oscilliscope and transient record pre-amplification, time resolved pulse and transient measurements, to LIDAR systems, signal compression and particle detection. Low frequency volatage amplifiers include control of gain settings and bandwidth by local switches directly on the amplifier.

Description

The HLVA-100 logarithmic amplifier or log amplifier has a logarithmic gain curve providing high gain for small input signals and relatively low gain for high input signals. Therefore the HLVA-100 is the ideal amplifier for signals with high dynamic range and applications in which a signal compression is desired.

The HLVA-100 has a DC coupled input and a rise and fall time of just 5 ns making it the ideal tool for the measurement of fast and high dynamic pulses of up to 80 dB.

Applications include Signal compression, Mass spectroscopy, particle detection, pulse measurements.
