PUMP LEVELS HAVE AN INFLUENCE ON THE QUALITY OF THE RESONATOR
The coupling mirror, also known as the pump mirror, is an essential component of the laser resonator.
An anti-reflection coating on the back of the mirror ensures maximum transmission of the pump laser (e.g. 808 nm) from the outside into the resonator. There, the pump laser excites the active medium. The mirror is highly reflective for the laser wavelength (e.g. 1064 nm), which keeps the laser wavelength in the resonator until the power for decoupling is reached. This is achieved by a dichroic coating that is optimized for loss-free reflection of the laser wavelength and the highest possible transmission of the pump wavelength.
LASER COMPONENTS manufactures pump mirrors according to your requirements. In addition to the desired pump and laser wavelengths, the mirrors can also be optimized with regard to the damage threshold (LiDT). We would be happy to advise you personally and realize your customer-specific design.
