Optimized for one wavelength, one polarization, and one AOI
Laser line beam splitters are used to separate a laser beam with a specific wavelength. By varying the design of the dielectric coating, it is possible to achieve a wide range of power splitting ratios between the transmitted and reflected partial beam.
Compared to cube-shaped beam splitters, the transmitted laser beam has to penetrate less substrate material.
Please note that the transmitted beam always undergoes an offset, the size of which depends on the thickness and refractive index of the substrate. You must also consider that dielectric beam splitters generally show a strongly wavelength-dependent degree of reflection.
LASER COMPONENTS optimizes the beam splitters for a specific wavelength, a polarization, and an angle of incidence (AOI) typically of 45°. Naturally, other angles of incidence are also possible upon customer request.
Featuring high laser-induced damage thresholds (LiDT) our dielectrically coated beam splitter plates are optimized for high-performance applications. As a standard, LASER COMPONENTS manufactures laser line beam splitters for the wavelength range from 248 nm to 3000 nm.
Are you wondering which beam splitter is the right one for your application? We will be happy to advise you on your choice.
