We supply a range of ruled and holographic wire grid polarisers for the Mid IR, manufactured by our partner Optometrics Corp, and are able to cover wavelengths from 2 μm to 20 μm on a wide range of materials.
Ruled polarisers are produced on CaF2 and ZnSe substrates and coated with aluminium. A combination of the ruling and coating process results in a series of closely spaced, wires with high extinction ratios and damage thresholds. There are 5 standard sizes in stock and are available mounted, unmounted or on a 360 degree rotation stage. The holographic polarisers are produced to allow more grooves per mm than the ruled versions, this is typically 2700 g/mm. The holographic process also allows the use of a wider variety of materials, including CaF2, ZnSe, BaF2, KRS-5 and Ge. These are available in 25 mm and 50 mm diameter as standard and also the same mounting options as the rules versions.
AR coatings are available depending on the material used. A range of these are available in stock but we are able to offer a custom design service.
