In 2020, LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group moved to Chandler, Arizona and has continued to grow as a company and develop new photonics technology. For these efforts, LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group has been selected by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce to be among the Chandler 100. The award has been presented by Chandler’s Mayor, Mr. Kevin Hartke, to General Manager, Raj Chakraborty, of LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group, at the CHANDLER 100: State of the Business Community event on November 21st, 2024.
This award represents the top 100 contributors to the local economy. LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group has established itself as a prominent member of the Chandler business community through community outreach, being selected to the Chandler Economic Development Advisory Board, and workforce placements in Chandler. Additionally, the selection process considers each company’s size relative to other candidates in the same industry.
LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group is proud of the over 40 full-time employees that have grown the company with dedication and hard work. Prior to moving to Chandler, LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group constructed a 29K square foot facility with an 8K square foot Class 10,000 clean room. The avalanche photodiodes (APDs) and infrared (IR) detectors that are produced in the same facility are backed by a talented manufacturing team and innovative R&D team. This drive to push beyond borders has allowed the team to flourish in Chandler, with improved infrastructure, a growing team, developing new technology, and providing long-term support to employees and the industry.
