LASER COMPONENTS is dedicated to pushing technology beyond borders. Saïd Rouifed, the Technical Manager of R&D, has been announced as one of the Photonics 100 by Electro Optics Magazine, a list that showcases the most innovative professionals in the industry.
Saïd has been with LASER COMPONENTS Canada since March 2020, bringing extensive expertise in semiconductors for photonics and optoelectronics. With a focus on design, epitaxy, and microfabrication techniques, Saïd has significantly advanced laser-based products as both a scientist and innovator. Saïd’s focus has been on Pulsed Laser Diodes (PLDs), specifically the 1550 nm PLDs with micro-optics such as fast axis collimation (FAC) lenses, and 905 nm PLDs with trenched chip technology. Both of these offer enhanced performance for long-range applications like LiDAR.
Saïd’s recognition in the Photonics 100 exemplifies the commitment of LASER COMPONENTS’ ongoing investment in R&D.
