Traditional coatings often fail when exposed to the extreme heat, pressure, and moisture of autoclaves, leading to cracking, peeling, or degraded optical performance. LASER COMPONENTS addressed these issues as part of the STAR (Stable Anti-Reflective Coatings for Medical Technology) research project, developing chemically and mechanically resistant anti-reflective coatings. They can be applied to plane or curved substrates and can be tailored to specific wavelengths, making them a versatile solution for various medical applications.
