The JT-ML-20 active laser safety textile and the JT-ML-19 active laser safety sensor are used for the large-area shielding of workstations and areas with high-power lasers of up to 12 kW.

The JT-ML-20 laser safety textile has the following multilayer structure: laser safety curtain – sensor textile – laser safety curtain. With the help of an automatic switch-off device, it is able to actively switch off the laser. For this purpose, the automatic switch-off must be integrated into the safety circuit of the laser application. If a laser beam hits the sensor textile, the sensor textile is damaged and activates the automatic system to reliably switch off the laser in a very short time (≤ 120 ms).

The same applies to the JT-ML-19 active laser safety sensor, which differs only in its single-layer structure.  

The active laser safety textiles are certified according to DIN EN 60825-4, DIN EN 12254, and EN ISO 13849-1 and can be used for wavelengths from 900 nm to 1080 nm.

This offers numerous application possibilities:

• Laser safety curtains
• Modular laser safety booths
• Covers for windows and door glazing
• Interior linings for laser equipment (may be necessary, for example, when retrofitting a laser facility if a more powerful laser is installed)
