Lenses have been manufactured for laser optical applications at the headquarters in Olching since 2008. The production facility in Germany makes it possible to meet customer demands for substrates on very short notice.
Since the start of production, LASER COMPONENTS has continually invested in this production line. In addition to extra CNC-controlled polishing machines, interferometers, and a measurement table for the documentation of optics, at the beginning of the year yet another milestone was set: With a special saw, raw substrates can be cut from rod materials in almost any thickness at a diameter between 12.7 mm and 60 mm. The polishing machine that was just installed is used to polish the end faces.
Shapes. Diameters. Curvature radii. All lens shapes – whether plano-convex, plano-concave, biconvex, biconcave, or meniscus – are produced in Olching. The radii of curvature can be chosen at almost any value ranging from about 10 mm to infinity.
Quality. Our laser optics produced in house are known for their high quality. A surface quality of 5/4x0.025 and a surface figure of L/10 are standard for us.
Delivery times. Because the entire production process takes place at our facility, the delivery times are particularly short. Lens manufacturing used to take a few weeks, and now we can deliver your parts within a few business days!
