LASER COMPONENTS sells HP100A-50KW-GD, a new laser power detector from Gentec-EO that has been specially developed for demanding applications with high-power lasers up to 50 kW. Featuring a damage threshold of 25 kW/cm², this measurement solution even withstands the intense stress imposed by highly focused laser beams. Its innovative gold cone design ensures that more than 97 % of the incident light is absorbed and back reflections are reduced to less than 2.5 %. The HP100A-50KW-GD therefore achieves particularly accurate measurement results while at the same time reducing the risk to laser equipment and operating personnel.
At less than 20 cm thick, the compact, water-cooled HP100A-50KW-GD is easy to integrate into any system. The flow and temperature of its cooling water are monitored in real time. In the event that the cooling circuit is interrupted, the operator may immediately abort the measurement process and prevent damage to the detector.
A DB15 connector and a USB interface allow the power detector to be connected to EO monitors or Windows-PCs, and its free software supports functions such as real-time display, data logging and extensive statistics options.
As with all Gentec-EO devices, the calibration of the HP100A-50KW-GD is traceable to the NIST standard.
Gentec-EO also offers customized solutions for any requirements that vary from the basic configuration - including models with up to 120 kW continuous power and sizes up to 500 x 500 mm.
