Product Range and Application Fields. Xenon-filled, pulsed flash lamps and krypton arc lamps for cw operation are manufactured. They are used for the optical pumping of laser rods, but also in the medical field in camera systems, dermatology, or IPL units for hair removal.
Different lamp shapes, suited to the application at hand, are also available. In addition to rod-shaped lamps, there are ring-shaped, helix-shaped, and U-shaped lamps.
The glass materials used consist of borosilicate or pure silica doped according to the desired spectral characteristics.
The electrodes are produced in house directly at Amglo using state-of-the-art pressing and sintering machines and melted to the glass body on the same day. This has ensured consistently high quality of the lamps – “Making Light Behave” – since 1935.
