LASER COMPONENTS Germany supports community projects in Olching. The company recently donated six desktop computers to the municipal youth center JUZ Olching. They will be used there to offer teenagers and young adults better learning and development opportunities.
Sven Schreiber, Managing Director of LASER COMPONENTS Germany GmbH, is happy to put the computers to a new use: “As part of our corporate strategy, we are switching to mobile computers and a different operating system across the company. As a result, the computers have been sorted out by our IT department, even though they are still fully functional. It would be a shame if they were to end up as electronic waste right now.”
Sophia Thurner from JUZ Olching is grateful for the donation. “We can make good use of new hardware. We will mainly use it to introduce computer technology to young people who don't have access to them at home.”
The youth center offers young people a free space where they can relax and have fun together. At the same time, they receive support in coping with their everyday lives if required.
