Dr Motasim Alomari, a research specialist at LASER COMPONENTS Detector Group, Inc., Chandler, Arizona is honored a place among the 100 most innovative minds in the photonics industry. UK based trade magazine Electro Optics issued their Who's Who of the "Photonics 100" on October 10 and for the second time, an R&D employee from the LASER COMPONENTS family is among this illustrious group.
Dr. Alomari has been working on ultra-thin L-alanine doped triglycine sulfate (DLaTGS) chips to improve their signal to noise ratio and thus the performance of uncooled pyroelectric infrared detectors. His work will open up new opportunities in Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy.
Electro Optics invited the global photonics community to submit nominations and selected one hundred entries. The Photonics 100 honors the resourceful minds and innovators who drive the industry forward but are less known to the public. The list includes entrepreneurs and development engineers as well as founders of start-ups and researchers from universities.
