Polymer-on-Glass
In a hybrid process, the DOE structures are applied to a polymer layer and then bonded to a stable quartz glass substrate. This creates low-cost DOEs with a laser damage threshold of over 10 J/cm² for pulse durations of 8 ns at 1064 nm. The optics are designed for low and medium output powers and offer high transparency at wavelengths between 450 nm and 1080 nm. They can therefore be used with lasers in the visible and infrared spectrum.
The manufacturing process allows noticeably lower production costs for medium and higher quantities.
