PIR Fibers for Precise MIR Transmission
Polycrystalline infrared fibers (PIR fibers) set new benchmarks in infrared transmission. A specially developed manufacturing process enables the series production of high-quality core/cladding fibers with excellent transparency in the mid-infrared range (3–17 µm).
With core diameters from 240 µm to 860 µm, they deliver outstanding optical performance, high mechanical stability, and low losses without disruptive absorption peaks.
PIR fibers are therefore ideal for mid-infrared spectroscopy, flexible IR pyrometry, imaging, and power delivery for QCL, CO, and CO₂ lasers.
