Clad-Aligning Splicer for FTTx and Metro Networks

Optimal for the Installation of Splice-on Connectors

The new FITEL S154-AC fusion splicer from Furukawa offers numerous advantages for the installation of FTTx and metro networks, as well as for work in data centers. Even under difficult environmental conditions, the device distributed by LASER COMPONENTS features a splice time of six seconds and a splice loss of 0.03 dB. Its robust housing complies with protection class IP52 (protection against dust and dripping water) and is shock resistant according to IK07.

The clad-aligning FITEL S154-AC supports numerous types of splice-on connectors (SOCs). This type of connector is easy to install in the field and is therefore becoming increasingly popular.

In addition, the fusion splicer is particularly easy to maintain and operate. The 4.3-inch touchscreen facilitates fast, intuitive use. For cleaning purposes, the V-groove and electrodes can be completely removed in just a few steps, making it easy to reach the lenses of the optics.
