Fiber-Q Fiber-Coupled Acousto-Optic Modulators

Reliable modulation for Fiber lasers

Fiber-Q fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators provide precise amplitude modulation, high extinction ratios, low insertion loss, and excellent stability in a compact in the same rugged package.

Compact Modulators for Demanding Fiber Laser Systems

G&H's Fiber-Q fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators (FCAOMs) provide a robust all-fiber solution for high-speed amplitude modulation of fiber and fiber-coupled lasers. They enable precise control of pulse timing, duration, and optical power while maintaining excellent optical performance. Leveraging G&H's proprietary technology, the Fiber-Q series combines high extinction ratios, low insertion loss, and exceptional long-term stability in a compact, hermetically sealed package. These characteristics make the modulators ideal for integration into OEM, industrial, medical, and scientific laser systems.

Engineered for Demanding Applications

Fiber-Q modulators are available in both polarization-maintaining (PM) and non-PM configurations. They cover visible and near-infrared wavelength ranges and are available with RF operating frequencies of up to 300 MHz. Their rugged, hermetically sealed design ensures reliable performance even in demanding environments. In addition to high-speed amplitude modulation, FCAOMs can also provide precise optical frequency shifting, making them well suited for applications such as optical heterodyne interferometry, microscopy, flow cytometry, and advanced fiber-laser instrumentation.
