Laser Components is pleased to announce that its FLEXPOINT MVpulse has been recognized among the best in machine vision today as a silver award honoree, by the judges of the Vision Systems Design 2021 Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.
“Each year this unbiased and increasingly competitive program aims to celebrate the most innovative products and systems in machine vision”, stated Chris McLoone, editor in chief. The Innovators Awards program reviews and recognizes the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry. Criteria used in the Innovators Awards ranking include originality, innovation, impact on designers, systems integrators, and end-users, fulfilling a need in the market that hasn’t been addressed, leveraging a novel technology, and increasing productivity.
FLEXPOINT MVpulse laser module combines two criteria of machine vision: Bright light with output powers up to 100 mW and class 2 eye safety. High output and high contrast images allow for detailed processing. Bright light only needs to be available when the camera takes an image. The electronics match acquisition frequency and illumination pulses to each other, enable high output powers without the use of complex protective measures. FLEXPOINT MVpulse line laser modules have combined both requirements. The continuous wave laser beam is pulsed by an integrated microcontroller in such a way that each pulse is up to five times stronger than in cw operation. Measured along a defined pulse sequence, the module meets the requirements of laser class 1 or 2.
“The FLEXPOINT MVpulse provides the best of both features in one product: Bright light and eye safety, stated Huyen Vu, director of sales for Optics, Lasers and Fiber Optics. We consider this product be an innovative addition to our portfolio of products and are honored to receive this award.”
