LASER COMPONENTS Canada
Peak power, peak performance
In 2002, LASER COMPONENTS Canada was founded in an empty factory building near Montreal. Innovative ideas and boundless enthusiasm quickly turned the company into a leading manufacturer of high-power pulsed laser diodes that are used all over the world.
This success of the ISO-9001 certified company is primarily owed to its highly motivated team, which works in close cooperation with the other companies of the LASER COMPONENTS Group – especially with the Detector Group in Arizona.
LASER COMPONENTS covers each stage of the process – from product development and production to the inspection and measurement of the finished components. As a result, it is ensured, for example, that the semiconductor material is designed to meet the highest performance requirements.
Management
CEO Jean-Francois Boucher has been at the helm of the company since 2023. As a "man of the first hour" and long-time Technical Director, he has designed a flexible production department that enables large-scale production for consumer products as well as small batches for special applications, depending on customer requirements.
New Products and Short Delivery Times
LASER COMPONENTS Canada sets new standards when it comes to implementing customer requirements flexibly and with the highest quality.
The company continuously introduces new products - from 905 nm single emitters to multi-chip stacks and multi-junction devices. Customers can choose to have these components in hermetically sealed TO packages or as SMDs. In addition to powerful and reliable PLDs in the 850 nm and 1050 nm wavelengths, the product highlights include in-house developments such as the award-winning QuickSwitch PLD.
Fields of Applications
In everyday life, pulsed lasers are used for traffic monitoring, speed checks or range finders, among other things. However, they are also employed in high-end military products, medical technology, and robotics. Currently, the automotive industry is a particularly important area of application. As part of LiDAR systems, pulsed laser diodes are one of the key technologies being considered for self-driving cars.
LASER COMPONENTS Canada will continue to flexibly respond to market requirements and remain a competent partner for individual customer requests.
We look forward to shaping the future together with you and designing your desired product.
